I spent years trying to “anchor” my attention in meditation.
Hold steady. Stay with the breath. Bring it back.
It worked. Until it didn’t.
There was always a subtle strain in the effort.
A low-grade tension that came from believing I had to hold on.
That if I let go, I’d lose something.
That if I wasn’t vigilant, I’d fail.
